7 AM

Comes early.

However........
Martha, who Lives Amongst Tourists,

after presenting her photos depicting 7 AM in her neck of the woods, issued a challenge to all, to grab  a 7AM shot in our neck of the woods.

And so, here, are my offerings:

On the way to the Sunday "buy bagels" bakery, there exists, as always, the sea.  It laps continually at your feet, so to speak,

which is what comes from living at the border.  Still, it has the benefit of having a clear shot at the Sun as it claws its way skyward.

And, although it's a rest day, there are some who answer the sea's constant call, and wander out...
While the rest of us watch with heavy hearts,

Until the sea is once again clear.

Then saddle up and head for home.

  1. Beautiful photos. That is a great way to watch a sunrise.

I am so used to seeing the sun set over the Pacific, it is nice to see it rise over the Atlantic.

    1. Thank you, but then again, it's difficult to NOT take a good photo when the subject matter is thus.

I know what you mean about the Sun. When I was in CA, every night I stood in awe watching the Sun do what it is not supposed to do... weird..

your photos make me wished I were there. The closest I have been is to Cape Spear in Newfoundland, where the sun is first to hit the North American continent, but not at sunrise. We tried but it was too cloudy the week we were in St John's.

Your Sea looks very calm this morning

    1. I'm not sure the sun ever comes out in Newfoundland. Didn't when I was there. As to your wish.... I can tell that ride out this way is getting closer and closer.
And yes, it was a very calm sea. Made me homesick. Haven't been on the water in about 9-months now and it is showing in my lack of servility.

Are you looking over my shoulder ? It all starts by looking at maps and figuring out distances, which I have already done . . .

What ever happened to the "meet you halfway" deal ? You leave on a Monday, say around 7am, and I leave on Thursday at 7am. We should be able to meet somewhere in Oregon . . . Half way, right ?
