I'd like to report that today dawned bright and sunny, clear and warm...
But it didn't.
I'd like to report that today I awoke ready to ride hither and yon…
But I didn't.
I'd like to report that it was a typical Maine Winter Day….
And, it was. Well, almost.
There was just a wee bit more snow than usual…
I said a wee bit more…
I'd like to report that I am going riding today….
But it wouldn't work…
And, so…
Tornero al cuoco a casa e mangiare.
Mike,
ReplyDeleteSix miles away from your house, I awoke to clear skies, bare ground, and temps in the low 60s. What storm? What snow? It is almost Spring Training, so it must be spring - anything else is a mirage!
Tom
You know the old song, "What a difference a day makes"? Well, it seems to work for distances too, because when I finally was able to fight my way to the corner, --- there was no snow.
DeleteSo, you're correct Tom. It's Spring, or almost. I think I need to stop those dinner martinis.
I maintain that the scooter could handle that snow!! :) So...did the plows make it down your street today?
ReplyDeleteSpring will be around soon and you will have the beautiful flowers to prove it.
BRW wouldn't allow the attempt. Something about keeping me around - good snow shoveler, things like that.
DeleteThe plows did make it down. The good news. They plowed the snow into our driveway. The bad news.
I'm sure Spring is just around the corner. Now. Which way to the correct corner?
Ciao.
Mike.
She has a point. A good snow shoveler is hard to find. :)
DeleteI think I'd want to stay inside and cook and eat too looking at that snow.
ReplyDeleteMy back aches just thinking of shoveling it.
Ah Ha!! Take a look at today's little episode.
DeleteI think a martini is definitely in order.
Ciao.
Mike.
