Two-Wheeled Rides

Through The Back Roads Of Maine.

Well, I've finally done it.  After zooming here, and zooming there, finding myself lost, found and lost again, I've compiled enough "local knowledge" to be able to put together a rider's guide to some of the prettiest roads in Maine.

Not that I had anything to do with the beauty of the surrounding countryside: all I did was ride but it IS after all, Maine.  I was just lucky enough to get lost while riding along these lovely roads.

The long and the short of all this is that I'm embarking upon a project to produce a book/DVD/GPS guide to some of what I believe to be the prettiest, most delightful immersion – via two wheels, into scenic roads and destinations that truly reflect what we who live here refer to simply as

The way Life should be.

Currently, I'm seeking backers for my project, and have produced a webpage that explains – in detail, what I'm doing and how what the finished project will look like.

Here's a link to that page….

Take a look.  If you like what you see, please join me.  It'll be a great deal of fun.

  1. What a great idea. Kickstarter is seeing more and more press lately.

And as you wait for the funds to roll in you can ride some more roads to include. Win win.

    1. It's a cool way to justify spending money going nowhere.
As everyone knows, I'll work 24 hours a day provided I don't have to work for a living.

    1. And I've got just the routes too.
Have you two got a more accurate timetable yet?
      Ciao. Mike.

    2. Mike it's looking like July 18-ish. 16-ish in State College for sure-ish. The "ish" is for Bob and the fact that he's coming from away, away ;)

    4. Mike / David:

I'm thinking July 16/17th State College, PA and two days to get to Portland, ME so that makes it around Friday ish, will be there for the weekend.

Don't forget that I have posted a link to my Spot2, on the right sidebar. The time is dependent on the weather/storms and I don't want to be on the freeways the whole time

  3. Mike-
    This is a great idea!

I, for one, would buy your book about Maine.

Have you considered self-publication on Amazon? I know a guy who did this with a book about his cross country tour on a recumbent bicycle.
